Hidden Fates Fundraiser

So at the beginning of February I received an unexpected restock of Hidden Fates ETBs and I’ve been having a hell of a time figuring out how to stop the bots from boxing out real people from buying them. While brainstorming ways to thwart the botters (spoiler alert: there isn’t one), I kept wishing there was a way we could jujutsu the botters into doing something positive for the world. So instead of resigning yourselves to the inevitability of bots, that’s what we’re going to do; something positive!

The Details

I have eight Hidden Fates ETBs available for purchase at MSRP ($49.99 + free shipping to lower 48). Six of them are basically perfect and two of them have slightly dented corners, but are otherwise fine. To determine the buyers, I’ll be conducting a lottery with a charitable twist.

The targets of this fundraiser are the following organizations:

Donations must be made through my site (see link below) and for every $5 dollars you donate you get one ticket in the lottery. There is no limit on the number of tickets you can have, so the more generous you are, the better your chances. (Note: There will be eight distinct winners, so you can only win once.)

The donation period will be open for two weeks, ending on March 7. After that I’ll tabulate a list of entries and announce the drawing details.

I thought it might be worth mentioning that 100% of the donations will be going to the designated organizations and I'll be providing proof of the donations at the conclusion of the lottery. That is all. :)

The Drawing

Every ticket will have a number and those numbers will be put in a hat and pulled live on the Twitch. It won’t be necessary to watch the drawing, but you can if you want. Like my other drawings in the past, I’ll pull extra names for a list of alternates in case people don’t respond or opt out of the purchase.

If your name is pulled, I’ll email you an invoice and you’ll have 24 hours to complete your purchase, so please make sure your email is correct. If you don’t complete your purchase within that time domain your link will expire and an invoice will be sent to the next person on the list of alternates.
